Trains Plus Network

The new Trains Plus site network is David Feng’s long-term goal in creating a rail-oriented site network for rail travellers, professionals, and enthusiasts of all ages worldwide.

The Trains Plus network consists of content from the earlier Beijingology and other former Civitology city wikis, which were integrated in the early 2010s and now form part of the city metro information pages, with a focus on China.

These are the active projects being worked on as part of the network:

  • Step by Step Trains
A passenger-oriented, step-by-step guide to how to travel by rail, including how to get around major rail hubs
  • Tracking China
An industry-specific site centred on the development of the railways in Mainland China
  • Ticket Gate 19
A podcast about journeys by rail

As the acute phase of the Covid-19 pandemic wanes, rail is expected to see more travellers, and the network will expand accordingly. In future, projects will:

  • offer more information on accessibility and kid-friendly facilities both onboard and at stations
  • offer railway culture products — because a train is so much more than a means of transport to get from A to B
